The ferret is a strict carnivore.
Ideally the ferret has ten or so little meals per day as its digestion is very brief, lasting a mere 3 to 5 hours.

Reproduction - LIFESPAN

The rutting period for males, like the period that the female is on heat, is regulated by photoperiod (relationship between the length of day and night) giving them a seasonal pattern.
The ferret reaches sexual maturity at the start of spring following its birth.
The life expectancy of a ferret varies from 7 to 10 years.
